Asavas & Arishtas

These are liquid orals prepared by fermenting solutions (produced either by soaking or by making a decoction) of powdered drugs with sugar/jaggery/honey as the case may be, for a specified period of time during which they undergo fermentation to generate alcohol, which acts as a solubilizer and preservative. They contain a max. of 12% v/v of self generated alcohol & should be diluted with equal volume of water before administration.

Dosage: Adults: 15-30 ml (children: 5-10 ml) 2 to 3 times a day or as directed by the physician Packs available: 200ml PEJ bottle, 450ml PEJ bottle, 1 L plastic can, 5 L plastic can.
(Kalamegha Plus is also available in 100ml PEJ bottle)
